Regenerative Design: Regenerative design is a value-adding process that attracts new energy to a system, thus increasing its vitality, resilience and yield. At Equiterra, regenerative design is an intentional and integrated design approach that can help reestablish lost, declining, or at-risk environments impaired by human impacts. The intelligent and creative integration of systems, resource loops, energy cycles, and inhabitants activate the symbiotic processes of the site. This allows our projects to take on a long-term life of their own, positively impacting the surrounding environs. No matter the impact, humanity is a part of earth’s natural systems and it is our responsibility to interact responsibly.

Architecture of Place: A fusion of art and science, architecture is fundamentally a means by which human beings respond to their environment. Eloquent architectural design evolves from a deep understanding of place, celebrating its uniqueness with design that inspires and delights while enriching community, the environment, and its inhabitants.

Working With Us

Just as every building we design is unique, so is each client experience. Our process at Equiterra focuses on you, the client, and is tailored to meet your specific needs. Our first task is to get to know everything there is to know about you—your space, your lifestyle or business, your project needs, and how you live or work. Together, we explore all the possibilities for your project, even those you may not have previously considered. Then, our team articulates the priorities, goals, and objectives for your project to begin the design process.

During the next phase, our staff works with you to develop the design in accordance with your project goals and budget and doesn’t stop until you’re happy with what you’re getting. We use a variety of techniques to help you visualize your project and make sure you know how it will function and what it will look like.

When you’re happy with the design, we’ll create drawings that a contractor can use to build your project. If you have already chosen a contractor, we’ll tailor the drawings to their needs. If you don’t already have one, we can help you find appropriate options, evaluate bids, and choose the right builder for your needs. We’ll be there through construction, helping you and the contractor complete your project in the way you have envisioned. And when construction is complete and you’re in your new space, we’ll be there to celebrate with you.

We want to dispel the notion that architecture is mysterious or intimidating. For each of our projects, we strive to make the architectural process streamlined, enlightening, and, above all, fun.
